Loop track work resumes this weekend; service disruptions at north end of Red Line

The on-again off-again Loop track work is on-again this weekend. And that means the Wells and Van Buren legs of the Loop "L" will be closed. From the CTA alert:

Orange and Brown Lines: Trains will operate as one route, between Kimball and Midway, running in both directions via the Lake and Wabash sides of the Loop Elevated. Transfers to/from the Blue Line subway may be made at Clark/Lake and to/from the Red Line subway at State/Lake* or Roosevelt.

Pink Line: Trains will begin/end their trips at Roosevelt station, running in both directions via the Lake and Wabash sides of the Loop Elevated. Transfers to/from the Blue Line subway may be made at Clark/Lake and to/from the Red Line subway at State/Lake* or Roosevelt.

Green Line: Trains are not affected and will operate normally in both directions via Lake and Wabash.

Meanwhile, at the north end of the Red Line, there will be no southbound trains stopping at Jarvis, Morse and Loyola due to viaduct and track work. (Granville is closed for rehab.) For service from these stations, take a Howard-bound train to Howard and transfer to a 95th-bound train. For service to these stations, take a 95th-bound train to Thorndale and transfer to a Howard-bound train.

These reroutes will be in effect from 10 pm Friday to 4 am Monday.

And of course, Morse closes at 11:59 pm Friday until August 10 for rehab.
