What better to tour Chicago's L than via a bike ride led by L expert Greg Borzo, the author of "The Chicago 'L'."
T
he ride,
sponsored by the Chicago Cycling Club, will start at 9:30 a.m. on
Saturday, July 2, in the Loop. The bike tour tour is limited to 15
people, so contact Borzo right away if you're interested.
According to the club website, the four-hour ride will cover "the history of this great working antique and "track" some
of the lines south, west and north. See the decline and/or development
of the neighborhoods the "L" serves. There will be both a restroom/water
break at a local park and a brief refreshment/food stop depending on
the weather, pace, and ride turnout."
Note: For full disclosure, Greg Borzo is a friend and former work colleague. He also was featured Monday in a Tribune column.

This sounds like a great ride! As an avid cyclist and 'L' user, it'll provide a new insight for me.
