CTA in haiku: snapping to attention on the bridge

Today we start an occasional series of haikus capturing the CTA experiences of Jen Masengarb. Read all her work on Tumblr.

Of course, we are indebted to the Japanese for creating the haiku art form. Our hearts and sympathy go out to the Japanese as they cope with the aftermath of the earthquake and tsunami.

Chicago haiku no. 56:

lost in book or tunes
but when train crosses river
I always look up
