Join us for Third Annual CTA Tattler Holiday Train Outing

The Third Annual CTA Tattler Holiday Train Outing will commence sometime in the late afternoon on Saturday, Dec. 11, on the Brown Line. So mark your calendars now!

The CTA post details of it Holiday Train schedule a few days before the magical date, so check back here later for details on where we'll meet up. But the rough plan is to board the train as it leaves from Kimball late that Saturday afternoon/early evening. We want to see the train at night this year; the last two years we have ridden in the early afternoon.

We'll ride the train south through the Loop, as it turns into an Orange Line train. We expect to disembark at Roosevelt for some food and holiday cheer. We're accepting ideas on where to party in that area.

Here are some photos taken this past weekend by Martha, the professional Holiday Train Rider. RSVP at the Facebook site. See you then!

  • Sadly, my academic pursuits leave me with precious little time to chase after the Santa Train, but I'm trying to maintain a cheery holiday demeanor despite the loss.

  • Wait - Martha - are you saying you are not coming?

  • In reply to KevinO’Neil:

Perish the thought, Mr. Tattler. I'll be there with bells on. Now we just have to work on Cheryl.

  • In reply to marthat3:

Don't scare me Martha, who else am I going to trade witty banter with?

  • In reply to KevinO’Neil:

I'll be there but consider this my RSVP. I don't Facebook.
