This woman was wearing a gorgeous snake-skin necklace on the CTA #72 North Avenue bus Sunday. Only thing is, the snake was alive. (Photo by Moira.)

Isn't there a no pets rule, unless it is a guide snake?
You are correct Jack, though pets in carrying cases are allowed.
If it's a service animal it's supposed to be wearing an identifying vest. I've had to do a lot of research on this.
I'm trying to imagine an identifying vest for a guide snake. The image is so humorous that it allows me to get over the ick factor of a snake wrapped around a passenger's neck on the 72.
Back in April, there were a few people carrying boa constrictors around their necks onto a Red Line train--it was a Saturday early evening.
Where's Samuel L. Jackson when you need him? "I am tired of all these m-fing snakes on this m-fing train!"
