Motorman opposes the Olympics in Chicago

I told you earlier today why I support Chicago's Olympic bid.

Then on my way home from class tonight my Red Line motorman informed us that he opposes the Olympic bid. Though he didn't say why. Here's what he said:

"I vote no for Olympics but I think we're gonna get it.

"All right I'm getting off in about 10 minutes. That's when I get bored and start having fun with my customers."

I can vouch for the fact that he had a great time.

  • I was on that train, but must have zoned out when he made the Olympic comment.

He also brought up the cameras that will be installed on the new cars, and mentioned using them to find out who is keeping the doors open.
