With no major downtown festival this weekend, Blue Line slow zone work resumes. The Blues Fest gave us a brief respite last week. That means the line will be shut between Clark/Lake and Western, with bus shuttles serving the masses between the two stops. As usual, services outage is between 10 pm Friday and 4 am Monday.
Read about other weekend work here, including Red Line trains operating on a single track from Roosevelt to Grand between 11 pm Friday and 7 am Saturday. Also, the Juneteenth Freedom Parade Saturday morning impacts some South Side buses, while music festivals and bridge work affects North Side routes.
It might actually be a decent weekend. Happy Day to all you Dads.
