Though I've lived in the Chicago area all my life I still feel like a transplant. I've lived in Humboldt Park, Ravenswood and various locations in the 'burbs and I now find myself in Portage Park. Prior to a few months ago the most exposure I had in Portage Park was as a little kid going to the Portage Theater to watch movies. Now, decades later, I find myself living here, knowing nothing about what I'm getting myself into. It's a beautiful place. But what's here other than brownstones and old theaters.
