For a lot of people, going on an African safari is a lifelong dream, one that all the Nat Geo specials and gorgeous Instagram photos in the world can't substitute. Seeing hundreds of animals in their natural habitat, which happens to be stupidly beautiful in itself, is an experience that can't be equaled. Going on a safari is incredible. Planning one is not. Don't get me wrong, there are a ton of travel agent websites out there, but not very many for people wanting to plan their own trip. El and I were fortunate enough to go on safari last month, so I thought I'd put together a list of my rookie tips. Hopefully, they'll help you plan and execute the trip of a lifetime.
