Haunt Review 2017: Scream Scene Haunted House

So there's haunts with giant budgets and Hollywood type sets, but sometimes it's fun to just check out a good old fashioned local community haunt. So Team Gregula decided that a visit to Scream Scene Haunted House in Skokie, IL was in order. Located in the Skokie Park District building at Oakton and Rt. 41, it was reasonably easy to find but I was disappointed that the giant SCREAM SCENE letters were not lit this year, or they may not have even been there not sure but oh well.

There were a few actors outside scaring people coming out of the parking lot, which is always fun. When we got there the line wasn't to long so no wait at all to get our VIP Triple Haunt Passes punched (highly recommended because it also gets you into Hair Razor Haunted Scenes and St. Pascal's Haunted Catacombs, all three for only $30!) and get inside.

The house itself was a lot of darkness, creepy passageways that lead into fun scenes like a hospital with demented patients hoping that you will check in and a home full of zombie couch potatoes that will make the places on those 'Hoarders' TV shows look clean. The best part is the clown maze designed to get you so dizzy you lose track of your friends! So many scares like the big budget houses, Team Gregula liked Scream Scene a lot!
