Concert Review: July Talk at Beat Kitchen [PHOTOS]

Canadian band July Talk brought their exciting and unique live show to Chicago's Beat Kitchen last Friday night and it was definitely one to remember! A huge crowd packed into the small venue already hot, sweaty and pumped from rocking out to opening bands The 92s and Purple and we could tell that something awesome was about to go down.

The band members strode confidently onstage and jumped right into "Blood and Honey". The already excited crowd went into a frenzy when frontwoman Leah Fay turned around showing off the Chicago Blackhawks logo on the back of her jacket, honoring our beloved Stanley Cup winners.

The show rocked hard and loud, the contrast between Peter Dreimanis’ growling vocals and the poppy sounds of Leah Fay enhanced the songs.

Count and I had a great time and will definitely check out July Talk again next time they come to town.
