There were only three words I could use to describe Anime Central 2013 Day 2 - Crowded, Cosplay and CRAZY. Thousands of kids took over the Hyatt O'Hare Saturday night for the biggest dance party of the year, ACen's Soap Bubble.
While Count and I declined to attend, we hung out in the hotel's massive lobby to observe the craziness. The line to get into the rave party snaked around the entire building, but apparently for the excited attendees, waiting in line was half the fun. Kids dressed in bright costumes and armed with glowing accessories danced around the hotel area, high-fiving and hugging everyone in sight.
I did manage to get a peek inside the ballroom at the craziness and all I could see was an enormous sea of people bouncing up and down to flashing colored lights and loud thumping music. But to be honest, I sure didn't envy these kids. As fun as it looked, I'm not a fan of long lines and huge crowds.
**ONE AND ONE HALF FANGS** for effort as the ACen faithful really seemed to have a good time.
