On Sunday, March 24, Count and I attended the 3rd Annual Chicago Tattoo Arts Convention at the Crowne Plaza O'Hare in Rosemont, IL. Even though neither one of us sport any tats ourselves, we both found the event to be very fascinating and were amazed by the sheer talent of the artists.
The vendor area was HUGE, every single nook and cranny was filled with tattoo artists working and vendors hawking t-shirts and other tattoo-related merchandise. There were so many vendors, even the hallway outside the ballroom had working booths. It was quite jam-packed with attendees, very surprised to see such a crowd on a Sunday afternoon.
Not only did they have a vendor area, there was also a stage area for entertainment where we got to see two "sideshow" acts, both performing crazy and dangerous stunts not to be done at home.
In a nutshell, we had a good time **TWO FANGS UP** and now I have an urge to get a tattoo!
