On March 15th, Count and I embarked on a delicious trip to the Good Food Festival and Conference Chicago 2013 at the UIC Forum. This was our first time attending this event and oh boy, it was a feast for the eyes AND the stomach!
This show was here to promote natural, organic and most importantly, local food sources. We were privileged to sample a few wares from vendors such as FarmLogix, Kilgus Farmstead, Wind Ridge Herb Farm, Sassy Cow Creamery, The Scrumptious Pantry/Faithful to Foods Inc., Manna Organics, Second Nature Honey, Becky's Blissful Bakery and Presto Pesto.
Count got to try a Bloody Mary from Savory Accents which happened to be a bit more Mary than Bloody ;). Last, but certainly not least, we attended a cooking demonstration by Chef Alex Lee for Red Meat Market where he cooked up some juicy steak tenderloin filets with a salsa verde/pesto type condiment on the side.
So enjoy some pictures of our tasty trip to the fest...hope you don't get hungry!
