One of my favorite annual events, the Pride Parade, has come and gone. To me, it's like Christmas. There is so much preparation and anticipation before the big event, and then it's over, just like that. I spent many hours looking for a new wig, trying to piece together the right outfit, and looking for all the fun accessories.
I think this year's was the craziest yet. The weather couldn't have been better, and there seemed to be more people than ever before. There was the poor naked man who had his underwear in his mouth while two police officers were trying to get him back in them. He didn't seem keen on that idea, so he tossed them and I believe was arrested. I also saw more fights, even though it's supposed to be a day of celebration.
After the parade, my friends and I hit Roscoe's. If you wanted to grind and/or hook up with someone, this was the place to be. The bar was wet and wild, and my Ed Hardy sneakers stuck to the floor like there was no tomorrow. The booze was flowing and the music was thumping. So much fun, and I can't believe that I have to wait 363 more days for the next pride parade.
