L.A. photographer surfs my couch

I had the pleasure of hosting yet another talented
artist, this one being a digital fine arts photographer.  DAK's
(short for David A. Knudsen)
trip to Chicago was part business and part pleasure. He has been to our
fine city before, because architecture is his passion, and lord knows Chicago has some astounding buildings to photograph.

DAK spent one night with me hanging out in Andersonville. While he is a carnivore at heart, he was brave enough to have a vegan
dinner at Loving Hut. He said his meal was
great, and I hope he really meant it and wasn't just being polite. If he
didn't mean it though, taking him to the Hopleaf Bar would make up for it. I
love taking visitors there for two reasons - to see the look on their face
when they walk in the door and start perusing all the bottles on the
wall, and then when they actually look at the beer menu. DAK didn't
disappoint. We also made a pit stop for a drink at In Fine Spirits,
which is another great venue in my hood.

I learned a thing or two about capturing reflections in a photo while we were cruising Clark Street. He is a very talented photographer who has his own studio in West Los Angeles,
and whose work is represented by several galleries and has been
exhibited in dozens of shows. Check out the links below to see just what
DAK can do.
