Rocket Lab is launching the STP-27RD mission onboard the Electron rocket from the company's private launch site in New Zealand. The Electron vehicle is carrying satellite payloads consisting of SPARC-1, Falcon ODE, and a small sat for York Space Systems called the Harbinger research payload. The STP-27RD launch is scheduled for no earlier than 1:00 a.m. CDT, Saturday, May 4th and has a 14 day launch window.
Coverage of the launch will be provided on Rocket Lab's live video stream and Rocket Lab's You Tube channel. Launch commentary and information will begin 15 minutes prior to the opening of the launch window, at 12:45 a.m.
Rocket Lab will also provide live updates of the launch via its Twitter account at @RocketLab.

This launch will be the company's first night launch and the heaviest payload to date.
