Star parties, astronomy celebrations, and a science convention are all happening this week in space. Now that the weather is warming up in Chicago, public observing session about, but you'll have to head out of the city and into the suburbs to participate in most of them.

'Scopes in the City: Earth Day with the Adler Planetarium, Beubien Woods Forest Preserve, Saturday April 27th, 10 am- 1 pm
The Adler Planetarium's 'Scopes in the City program is back online now that the weather has warmed up again. During this day time observation session, Adler astronomers will have telescopes available for guests to observe the Sun. Earth, Sea, and Sky Day, Challenger Learning Center of NW Indiana, Hammond, IN, Saturday April 27th, 10 a.m.-2 p.m.
The Challenger Learning Center of NW Indiana is only a half hour away from the south side of Chicago, and this weekend they are hosting an Earth and Astronomy Day Celebration! STEMCON 2019, Physical Education Center at College of DuPage, Glen Ellyn, Saturday April 27th, 10a.m.-4 p.m.
This free event is hosted by the College of DuPage and designed to inspire schoolaged children, grades K-12, in Science, Tech, Engineering, and Math.
