Since the sun was actually shining today, I decided to hit a couple new stores after my trip to Lemon Tree Grocer. It also helped that I had a $15 coupon for Jeans and a Cute Top burning a hole in my pocket! I also thought that maybe a new spring top would help bring spring weather.
Honestly, I expected my $15 coupon would maybe cover one earring or maybe a clearance scarf. This is a boutique, so you can certainly find jeans over $100, but I was definitely pleasantly surprised with the selection at modest prices too. I was especially thrilled with the $35 spring dress (with coupon) I found!
Jeans and a Cute Top.
Downers Grove is the third location for Jeans and A Cute Shop; there's another in St. Charles and the original opened in 2009 in Wheaton. I didn't meet the owner, Jill Card (she's usually at the Wheaton shop), but Mary was incredibly friendly and helpful with advice when I couldn't decide between two dresses.
I wish I knew more about the brands they carry, but you already know I'm not that hip! I do like that they have brands made in the US, though. If you are more familiar with the latest fashions, you'll probably recognize some of their apparel: Mavi, La idol, Miss Me, Neesha, just to name a few.
Cute story about the store name: according to their website, "Jeans and a Cute Top" is what Jill's husband said she should wear on their first date!
