August 19, 2013 Garrett Popcorn Shops unveiled the newest mural to adorn their 87th street store. The mural was created by students from Simeon Career Academy and Kenwood Academy participating in After School Matters under the direction of artist Rahmaan Statik. This was the scene at the opening of Garrett Popcorn Shops Chatham store. Everyone wanted the free Chicago Mix popcorn today. Garrett hired local and used local bank Seaway for the construction financing of the facility. A Win-Win for Chatham.
