Looking for girls 7-10 who are interested in playing softball.
SSLL is a non-for-profit 503(b) organization. The mission of SSLL is to empower youths through baseball and maintain a framework of positive role models and friends. We work to build confidence and self-esteem in boys and girls, by encouraging and celebrating the talent of the players on the field. We believe the positive effect of baseball on each player’s mental and personal growth translates from the field to the home, to the classroom, and beyond.
SSLL serves many communities on the south side of Chicago including: Englewood, Park Manor, Greater Grand Crossing, Woodlawn, Chatham, Chesterfield, West Chesterfield, and Roseland Heights.
SSLL creates opportunities for parents to get involved in positive volunteer activities which include: coaching, umpiring, scorekeeping, as well as being a member of the SSLL Executive Board. SSLL, along with the team work of the parents, provides the children in the community an arena to be involved with positive role models, while learning the concepts of baseball on the field, and life off of the field.
