Stop telling family & friends to commit suicide with plastic bag challenge

The plastic bag challenge meme is taking politics to a new low.

I am literally at a loss with this one.  It’s no secret I’m not a huge Donald Trump fan but when I saw the meme below that stated “Show your support for Trump by doing the plastic bag challenge” I felt sick.

I didn’t share it and I won't share it in this post because I have a lot of respect for the people I call friends and family no matter who they support.

Today I saw the one for Hillary Fans.  I don’t even know if I am a Hillary Clinton fan but wow.

Here’s the thing, your coworker might support the person you don’t.  Your sister or mother, father or brother might support the person you don’t.  I get it’s a joke and you don’t literally mean go kill yourself because you don’t agree with me but the lack of respect for each other is astounding.  What is the point of sharing this?

There are people out there that have actual depression and issues.  There are people who do kill themselves with plastic bags.

What happened to basing debates on issues and finding a compromise instead of picking your side, hating the other side and not even trying to understand? This goes to both sides.  I’m not calling out either one right now because truly- I don’t belong to one.

My mom shared something on Facebook recently that I liked. Click here to see it. Its tagline was “Life is not a Facebook feed.” Truth.

So before you jokingly go tell your friends, family, coworkers and neighbors to kill themselves with a fake challenge in on click, think.

That’s all I’m asking.
