MONDAY, MAY 13

Viola Spolin Improvisation Workshop at The Jane Addams Hull-House, 9:30 a.m. Taught by improv guru Aretha Sills, daughter of Second City founder Paul Sills and granddaughter of Viola Spolin. Aretha will lead an introductory workshop exploring her grandmother’s groundbreaking approach to building community and connection through theater. “Everyone who wishes to play is invited to attend! Museum and theater educators are strongly encouraged to join us.” Free with RSVP.

You’re Being Ridiculous workshop at The Book Stall, Winnetka, 7:00 p.m.  A rare opportunity to learn storytelling from a master, Jeremy Owens, the founder of You’re Being Ridiculous. He knows funny and serious and everything in between.

Adam Burke at Zanies Chicago, 8:00 p.m. Adam Burke is a regular panelist on NPR's Wait Wait ... Don't Tell Me!, best stand-up in Chicago according to the readers of the Chicago Reader (2014) and the winner of Second City's Up Next comedy competition.

Frank Caliendo at The Improv, 7:30 p.m. Known for his stand-up AND his uncanny and hilarious impressions.
