Excitement for the Upcoming Joffrey Season

So we're just at the beginning of the new season, but I can already tell that we have amazing works and new creations for the upcoming 2010-2011 season.  I have been back at work for a week now and already here is what is ahead...we've been working 12-6 on Balanchine's "Stravinsky Violin Concerto", "After the Rain", "Crossed" for the Chicago Dancing Festival in August, and "Reflections" and "Pretty Ballet" for the Blossom Festival in Ohio in September.  And to add to this great list, we have already begun working on a new work with Yuri Possokhov.  Yuri's work is absolutely one of a kind, and at this point, we even have to wonder if the current pas de deux (duet) we are working on could be done by anyone considering how difficult it is.
I am very excited to see this season coming to life and to have our Chicago audiences (and those on tour) discover this incredible season with us.  Hope to see you all there....
