Joffrey Ballet Ready for Florida

Hey everyone....I am so sorry you haven't heard from me in a week, but my schedule has been a little crazy these last few days.  Anyway, we are getting ourselves ready for our tour to Florida coming up this weekend.  The program is very good and includes Gerald Arpino's "Reflections", Lar Lubovitch's "Smile with My Heart", and Edwaard Liang's "Age of Innocence".  I know I wrote about my performance schedule in my last blog, but as it is prone to happen, there was a change in the schedule and performance.  I will not perform all three ballets on opening night in West Palm Beach, rather only Smile with My Heart and Age of Innocence.  I will be performing Reflections only at our second performance in Sarasota. So the company will travel on Friday morning to West Palm Beach where we will be welcomed with a generous reception at 6:00pm.  On Saturday we will have class, tech rehearsal, followed by the performance at 8:00pm.  We will then travel to Sarasota on Sunday, perform on Monday at 8:00pm, and travel back to Chicago on Tuesday.

Sadly it seems like there won't be much time for fun....at least it'll be warm!!
Saturday, March 6 8:00pm performance at the Kravis Center for the Performing Arts (tickets here)
Monday, March 8 8:00pm performance at the Van Wezel Performing Arts Hall (tickets here)

  • Well, at least you will be doing what you love. Everything else will fall into place and I'm sure you will enjoy Florida. Best always.
