The Joffrey Opens Cinderella Tonight at the Auditorium Theater

Tonight is Joffrey's opening night for its production of Cinderella.  I am not doing all that much in this production...I am doing a character role (Wellington) as well as the Winter Cavalier.  Wellington is almost like having a day off because it requires only minimal acting skills and a very small amount of simple dancing, ie a few shuffles and steps, lol.  It is not very much, but again, what a relief to find some down time to relax and regroup after an intense fall run of Othello and Nutcracker.  As for the Winter Cavalier on the other hand, it comes with a very technical variation and requires a lot of stamina.  It's an ideal role at the ideal time of an "easy run" because it is the perfect exercise to practice double tours and pirouettes on stage.
We open tonight at the Auditorium Theater (find information and tickets here)....hope to see you there!

  • I have seen you do turns and you seem to excel at them. It has always frustrated me that I can't seem to turn like the other girls in class.
