Celebrate National Hot Dog Day with Chicago-themed Red Hots at Bull & Bear

hot dogs 2Bull & Bear, 431 N. Wells, is getting into the spirit of National Hot Dog Day (July 23) by having Chef David Blonsky whip up Chicago-themed dogs for longer than 24 hours.

Beginning today July 22, a different dressed dog will be available for the week at $9 a pop. The complete menu for the week is listed below and if you can't decide on just one, the Frank Plank will serve all the daily dogs in mini form for $20.

Monday, July 22
Pilsen Dog: Al pastor sausage, grilled pineapple & cactus relish, cilantro creme, fresh jalapeno, salsa habanero, bolillo roll.

Tuesday, July 23
Little Italy Dog: Salami, peperoncini sausage, arugula pesto, grilled and pickled forest mushroom, aged provolone, fennel see hoagie.

Wednesday, July 24
Greek Town Dog: Spiced lamb sausage, tzatziki, feta, tomatoes, pickled red onion, pita.

Thursday, July 25
Pulaski Dog: Smoked polish sausage, charred onion, brown mustard, spicy pickle, poppy seed bun.

Friday, July 26
Uptown Dog: Asian spiced beef sausage, pickled carrots & daikon, thai chili mayo, dehydrated cilantro, jalapeno baguette.

A 22-inch jumbo version of the classic Chicago-dog, appropriately named the 'Home Wrecker,' will also be available.
