Ozzie is back, and doing it for the kids

Everyone's favorite baseball manager is back.

Ozzie Guillen, Chicago's most loved-or most hated, depending on who you ask-is back with his newly established non-profit foundation benefiting Chicago's underprivileged youth.

The Ozzie Guillen Foundation has been around since 1998 an when Ozzie and his wife Ibis, sought to create a trusted and legitimate organization in Venezuela.

Established with the goal to improve the lives of children and families who have been touched by various illnesses, the foundation has expanded its reach to support foster children and families and to enhance educational opportunities for some of Venezuela’s underserved youth.

Ozzie will be hosting the inaugural event at The Grid Wednesday, May 29 at 6:30 p.m., with beats by Dante the Don. Tickets are $50/$125 and can be purchased here.
