What's For Breakfast: Power Greens Smoothie!


An easy way to jump start your vegetable and fruit intake for the day is to blend them in a smoothie. Not only will you get a powerful antioxidant boost, smoothies are portable and can be made in less than a minute. Pop it in a cup and you're on your way to work. Experiment with different greens, but make it a habit to down one of these shakes first thing in the morning or as an afternoon snack. 
Power Greens Smoothie
2 cups chopped kale
1 banana
1 kiwi
1/4 avocado
1/4 cup Goji berries
1 scoop protein powder (rice, soy, hemp or whey)
5 ice cubes (optional)
1/3 cup greek yogurt (optional)
Blend all ingredients until smooth!
