Chicago television producers, Don DVIDEO and Belynda Head are joining the surge of new TV pilot programs for the fall season. Their 30 minute television special, Line Dance Party!, promises to gain traction as a hip, music-filled dance reality show that follows Belynda's line dance classes and her successful line dance parties.

Scheduled to debut on WJYS-TV on October 24, Thursday at 10 pm, Line Dance Party! is creating a lot of excitement among Chicago's line dance enthusiasts.
"Belynda and I are really happy to showcase Line Dance Party to Chicago," expresses Don DVIDEO. It was DVIDEO's first visit at  Belynda Head's line dance party two years ago, when he was amazed on how entertaining it was to watch the dancers,  and even more fun to participate.

"It was the music and the synchronization of the dance routine that made it look so cool.  It reminded me of Michael Jackson's choreography from his Beat-It and Bad music videos," elated DVIDEO. "I immediately got Belynda's attention and told her this would make great television."

Line Dance Instructor Belynda Head has been teaching soulful line dances to R&B and hip-hop music for over six years now.  In her interview on Line Dance Party!, she describes her passion to teach and how much she enjoys music.
"I really love music and always enjoyed dancing," expresses Head, "so when I learned how to do my first line dance from watching it on television, I decided to share my passion with others."

Head and DVIDEO both agreed to embark on producing a pilot television program that would be perfect for local television in Chicago.  Especially, says Head, since the line dance community is so spread out. "Line dancers usually learn new dances by taking classes and becoming part of local line dance crews," explains Head, "and we have crews in Indiana, Wisconsin, Michigan and St. Louis, who don't mind attending a big line dance party in Chicago."

DVIDEO saw the crowds first hand, with dance crews wearing their names and crew logos embroidered on t-shirts and hats.  He noticed that the dancers embraced a family spirit of support and love for one another, but most of all, says DVIDEO , "it was a fun night."
"The dance crews were on the dance floor all night long. There wasn't one song played that didn't have at least 60 people rockin' the dance floor!"

When the Emmy Award winning DVIDEO 79 Productions started filming scenes for Line Dance Party! both DVIDEO and Head realized that to broadcast the television pilot on a major local station like WJYS-TV, sponsors were needed.

Head didn't have to look far to seek out businesses for support.  Most of her students are professional career women who are entrepreneurs and corporate leaders. Some of Head's business friends had participated as vendors at her annual line dance parties, like the upcoming Red Shoes Party in December.

"Chef Pam from Riley Bell Catering specializes in a soul food cuisine that represent her mother's classic southern recipes,  and Loleta Connor is a broker at 1 Stop 4 Homes with beautiful  homes and investment property listings," describes Head. "Vernell Bradley is the owner of NTRENDZ Boutique and has great success in selling her fashion designs, purses and jewelry at many of my parties."

Chef Tobaris Doss is owner of Fusion Mobile Restaurant that caters gourmet sandwiches and appetizers throughout the western suburbs. Head says friends like Doss jumped on board quickly as a sponsor.
Michael Clay of MCTV Productions is friends with both Head and DVIDEO, and wanted to be a part of the promotional campaign.
"My interest in sponsoring Line Dance Party is to help my good friends Don and Belynda get the show up and running."

Author Carl B. Manson is also a longtime friend of DVIDEO.  Manson says he wanted to make sure that his publishing company, Exsolint Publishers, had a chance to expose his new eBook series on Amazon.com to his target audience.  "A lot of my readers are women who love line dancing!"

Head and DVIDEO says that all of the sponsors wanted to support something new, cool and unique and that Line Dance Party! was perfect for their business's promotional campaign.

"Their contribution not only affords us the opportunity to broadcast at WJYS-TV, which covers  Chicago and parts of Indiana, Michigan and Illinois," says DVIDEO,  "but we also have a three part series planned for Chicago's CAN-TV Comcast Channel later this fall."

Line Dance Party! will air its pilot program on WJYS-TV, October 24, Thursday at 10 pm.  Visit linesnmotion.com for information on Belynda Head's line dance classes, sponsorship information and future broadcast dates.
