The 18th Street Pilsen Open Studios is celebrating its 10th anniversary this weekend. You can visit studios, galleries and local businesses showcasing the work of local artists until 6 p.m. today.
Some of the artists have lived in the neighborhood for many years. You can see the work that inspires murals by Mexican artist Hector Duarte, the Native American influence of Gerry Lang, or the political artwork of Mark Nelson. There are more than a dozen artists showing work at the Magi Cultural Art Center. In all, more than 50 artists are showing work from Western Avenue to Halsted Street and 16th to 24th Streets.
Don't miss this chance to meet and see the artists of Pilsen.
