El Día del Niño, let's protect children from guns

April 30 is considered El Día del Niño, or Children's Day, celebrated in Mexico and Mexican communities in the U.S. It's like a Mother's or Father's Day for children and there are games and parties for them at school.

In honor of all children, I want to share this music video by 8-year-old rapper Baby Kaely. It has gone viral since its release in January.

It was produced by Will.i.am and is a tribute to the children killed in the school shooting in Newtown, Conn.

On a day dedicated to children, let's honor their memory and support gun control laws that will make it harder for people to buy guns and automatic weapons.

You need a license and insurance to drive  car. Why can't we have basic background checks for people who want to buy guns? That's the least we can do to protect our children.

Just listen to this song and it will touch your heart.
