Want some culture?
Then check out the "Hola Mexico" film festival starting tonight in Chicago. The festival features some of the best films made recently in Mexico.
One of the highlights is a feature called "Arrancame La Vida," based on the novel of the same name by Angeles Mastretta. She is one of Mexico's most popular authors and the film also stars the young actress, Ana Claudia Talancón, who was seduced by a priest, played by Gael Garcia Bernal, in a 2002 Mexican film "El Crimen de Padre Amaro."
The films are playing at the Landmark Century Centre Cinema, 2828 N.Clark St. The festival ends June 24.
