On April 7, MLS Club Chicago Fire hosted the Final Draw for the Special Olympics Unified Cup – 24 international women’s and men’s Unified soccer teams will compete in Chicago this July.
Special Olympics Unified Sports brings together athletes – with and without intellectual disabilities – as teammates to showcase the power of sport to foster an environment of acceptance and inclusion.
The Unified Cup will kick off the Special Olympics 50th Anniversary celebration in Chicago, Illinois, home of the first Games in 1968. The week-long celebration will feature a series of high-profile events.
