Since Zach Miller injured his leg against the New Orleans Saints in Week 8 of the 2017 season, most of the details emerging about the injury and his recovery have been gruesome and not exactly encouraging.
On Sunday, that changed, as Miller posted a video of himself using only his two legs to take a few steps.
A sizable brace is being worn on Miller's left leg during the video, but the tight end doing any sort of walking at this point in his recovery is a great sign considering he tore the popliteal artery and required urgent vascular surgery to save his left leg.
The update came at a good time for Bears fans. On Saturday, Miller's teammates were manhandled by the Detroit Lions in a 20-10 loss, dropping the team's record to 4-10 on the season.
