After getting pummeled for the second time in three weeks, it should come as no surprise that some Bears fans want to see head coach Lovie Smith fired.

David Kaplan wrote a piece today on "Kap's Corner" saying Lovie has to go, he's out of touch with reality, and that the new coach should be Bill Cowher.

But of course, not everyone agrees. On "The Rock Report," Rock Mamola says Lovie should stay and points out the Bears were 3-1 not that long ago and change just for change's sake is not always a good thing.

So what do you think? Visit Kap and Rock's blogs and let 'em know how you feel.

  • Ass a long time faithful bears fan and as much as i loved Lovie Smith its time to let him go. I know it is not all his fault so i wont end with just that. It also time to fire Deangelo our defense sucks i know we are hurt but each year we get worse at every position. Bring in Bill Cowher as gm and head coach he is defense minded and knows how to put together a offensive line. We have good pieces but if hester is our best reciever we are done. I went to the niners game Hester is terrible he wouldnt make detroits practice squad. Our qb is still the man to build on but with no line or recievers Forte and Cutler will always struggle. Defense to me looked good up front our corners and db and nick roche looked real bad tillman is our best db and he is tough but gives up to much space to recievers and gets burned way to much. Briggs is the heart and sole of our defense he was all over the place. Its time to start over our defense is no longer our pride possesion so please rebuild there and start with Bill Cowher

    Great synopsis!

  • Todays showing was a total embarrasment. Lovie has not had a good season since the SB. He is a nice person, but it is time to move on.

  • lets look at the record, who have the bears beat? if it wasnt for two last second field goals missed, one from pitt and one from seattle the bears would have a record of 3 wins and 9 losses. beating only the three worst teams in the league. be honest can this team beat the vikings packers and ravens. the true record at the nd of this season would be 4-12. with that record does he deserve to keep his job? i say clean house and start the re-building of the bears. start at thew top wit angelo and work down from there. bill cowher? mike shanahan? way out of my pay grade to guess but who ever it is will have an up hill climb battle. why not the da coach make a return to the midway.....
