One small step for N'DIGO, a giant leap for ChicagoNow

It is both a pleasure and a distinct honor to have the privilege of announcing that one of Chicago's most esteemed African-American publications is now part of our eclectic, growing and energetic ChicagoNow family.

N'DIGO started 20 years ago as a monthly newspaper and is now a print weekly. Not more than a month ago, I went over to their West Town offices and spent several hours discussing how they could make the most of their work online with us. Then I went back for another round. All told, N'DIGO's network of bloggers will include almost two dozen of the most fun and energetic bloggers I have ever met.

Their mission has always been to "tell the stories that had been untold, mistold
and needed to be retold
." And you will no doubt find them continuing to meet that challenge with their unique perspectives on the African-American experience in Chicago and beyond.

Whether they are covering politics, entrepreneurship, healthy eating, movies, sex or dress codes at HBCU's, you can count on at least one thing: N'DIGO's bloggers aren't shy about what they feel and think and are already hosting robust debates on their blogs. We look forward to their contributions to this very unique collection of voices on ChicagoNow, one that grows every day closer toward reflecting the diversity in our dear city and region.

God bless, and welcome.
