Word from the David Hoffman camp is that the former Chicago Inspector General has a great chance of beating Illinois State Treasurer Alexi Giannoulias in the race to fill Obama's Senate seat.
According to Josh Kraushaar at POLITICO
...with the February primary only four months away, Hoffman will need
to raise enough money and put together a strong enough organization to
get his message out -- in a very expensive state to advertise in. He
ended September with $851,000 in his campaign account, while
Giannoulias reported $2.4 million cash-on-hand.
