Michael Jackson is being buried today. Unfortunate as it is that the King of Pop's reign has ended, back in the day I was all about Charlie's Angels so I have to admit I took the news of Farrah Fawcett's death worse than that of his.
There, I said it.
And, I might add, it seemed a shame her death was so overshadowed by Jacko's. The whole thing reminded me of when poor John Ritter died and his passing went underfoot to the news of Johnny Cash's death the same week. I'm personally quite a Cash fan, and I remember thinking at the time: This must suck for Ritter fans. There's no competing with Cash. Ditto Dominic Dunne to Ted Kennedy.
Some other fans through the ages have felt my pain in this celebrity death thunder-stealing sort of situation, which Newsweek pulled together into a photo gallery for our reminiscing.
