Wow...some of those are surprising.
I disagree with your Bullock prediction; she'd be a solid host.
Would love to see Uma Thurman, Ed Norton, and Leo DiCaprio give it a shot.
And yeah, how the hell did Will Smith NOT host? Fresh Prince was even an NBC show!
Bullock? You could be right, she just seems so uptight.
FYI, Jack Nicholson did a quick cameo when Helen Hunt hosted (around the release of "As Good As It Gets"). Apparently a sign of his admiration for his co-star. Would love to see him host and spoof himself with costars a third his age.
Interesting, I missed that cameo. Thanks for pointing that out.
Hunt/Nicholson: Closest I can find is this http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UaYLdFE7s9Y (if you can stand all the Roxbury clips until 1:17)
Nevermind. Totally not worth it.
On a related note, thoughts on the Betty White movement?
At this point it's too orchestrated so can't say I'm too excited about it, know what I mean? But she'd be fun.
Morgan Freeman was "The Easy Reader" on "The Electric Company" around the time when SNL was just getting started. He was "serious" even on a kid's show, but that's what made it funny...ya know?
Absolutely. And now he's got the greatest voice in American. Love him.
He was a writer, but Conan has MOST DEFINITELY never hosted SNL.
Conan hosted SNL on March 10, 2001.
You didn't say that they had to be funny comedies. I actually think Stallone is a very witty man for the type of guy that he is. OSCAR is quite funny, even if Stallone himself doesn't think so.
wow, can you imagine the Fresh-Prince Will Smith hosting with that cast in the early 90s? woulda been classic.
Think about all the duds that have hosted SNL. Who can forget when Mark Harmon took off his shirt? Millions of women were REALLY disappointed!!!! He could have worked out a few weeks before SNL!!!
Cusack sorta hosted, he played and SNL style host in the movie Bob Roberts...
Comedies with Morgan Freeman: EVAN ALMIGHTY, BRUCE ALMIGHTY, 10 ITEMS OR LESS, NURSE BETTY.
Yeah, and Sylvester Stallone did "Stop, Or My Mom Will Shoot!" Doesn't make him funny.
Class doesn't do SNL. Especially not with the current unfunny cast who believe their own hype.
SNL is one step above "I'm a Celebrity Get me out of Here right" now. B listers in danger of becoming C and D listers ...
