Beautiful Blessing Tour stop in Oswego

Last Saturday evening at Harvest New Beginnings in Oswego. Big Daddy Weave, joined by Citizen Way, Jason Gray and Lauren Daigle performed as part of the Beautiful Blessings Tour.

During the pre-show Q/A session performers fielded questions form the fans. Lead singer Mike Weaver explained how they came up with the name, Big Daddy Weave. He explained, it was during their college days, just after they had formed a ban, someone asked them to perform and wanted to know what they called their group. Mike blurted out Big Daddy Weave. Why, that? I’m the big daddy and my last name is Weaver so it kinda goes together to create Big Daddy Weave.

Each group took turns performing starting out with Big Daddy Weave. They each took turns performing for an hour. Mike Weaver came off the stage, now at the front row he shared about the bands recent trip to Cambodia with World Vision. They saw first-hand the work and services taking place. As long time partners with World Vision, they have endorsed child sponsorship, and have connected over 13,000 fans with children in need. Mike said in a resent blog post “Our trip to Cambodia was one of the most terrifying, really heart-wrenching field experiences of my entire life.”  (See Video here) As Mike shared his heart for World Vision ministries, band members passed out information packets to fans. In the packet fans saw a short video clip of the child saying thank you in their native language. They then took a short break and hoped that fans would complete the registration and help sponsor those children.

Returning to the stage for the last half of the show, all four groups came together to perform several songs. Fans cheered, dance, raised hands to heaven and sang along.

We want to give a shout out to our friends at Go Promoters for put on this event and as always doing a fantastic job.

We will rate the performance with 4 guitars. Well done to all the bands.
