The duo of Chicagoans, Mike Berkson and Tim Wambach performed their routine known as Handicap This! It was a dramatic performance with music, humor, and honesty about disability. They used these elements of their theater piece/comedy routine to impart insight into living with disabilities. They use this platform to demonstrate the value of inclusion and the power of diversity as they raised awareness of people living with different abilities and they motivate those people to set goals and follow their dreams. Over 50,000 people have seen this program from New York to Los Angeles, always receiving rave review.
When their program concluded they did a Q&A with the audience and then met many of them out in the foyer area afterwards. They took time to pose for photos and to listen to stories from many who attended.
This is one of those feel good stories that movies are made of. You know the story line, two people meet, become friends and then they overcome typical barriers to bring their story to the streets.

This took place at the North Shore Center for the Performing Arts in Skokie. If you have read any of my other post, you know I really enjoy coming here, it is a beautiful location to hear a concert or what a performance like this.
I would rate this performance with a five. It was truly unique and inspirational. Thanks for sharing it with the masses.
