Friday night I was lucky enough to let my hair down for a while at Harbees in Chicago’s south side neighborhood, Pilsen. Local DJ and friend Cedeño led the crowd to a dancing beat that made capturing the faces a bit challenging. Hoping you can feel the energy in some of these shots.
Every Wednesday the Green Mill in Uptown hosts Alfonso Ponticelli and Swing Gitan, a “gypsy-jazzy” band who play and get lost in the musical trance.

We have many music and street festivals to choose from during the summer months. This year, I attended Pitchfork thanks to a good friend. It was great to dance in the middle of a crowded field under the hot sun.
Sometimes we like to travel to the many surrounding suburbs to get away from the hustle and bustle. Visiting Ravinia Park is pretty uneventful especially if you travel by Metra.
