Spring for a day!

Spring for a day!

Today was one of those mild March days, when the sky is cloudless blue, and warmer in the sun, when the crocuses are coming up in all the yards, and the pussy willows are beginning to open.

Robins are everywhere.  Cats are rolling on the sidewalks. People are out on bicycles.

It's spring for a day!

Astronomical spring begins on March 20th, with the vernal equinox. It is a time of new beginnings, with the new moon on the 17th. It is a celebration of light and life, and all green and growing things.

  • What is so rare as a day like this in March?
It's been lovely. Thank you for the commemorative post.

  • In reply to Margaret H. Laing:

It was rare and lovely, wasn't it? Thanks so much for reading.

  • Love those crocuses. Researching your chart, I discovered Juliet Capulet was born on Lammas Day.

  • In reply to Aquinas wired:

Thanks for reading, AW! I love the crocuses, too.

I do like the image of the Wheel of the year--not linear like a calendar.

Yes! Lammas, the first harvest and time of trial marriages...

  • And now it is winter for at least the next couple of weeks. Sort of like 3 years ago.
