What is that color, the light through the leaves?
This green, illuminated, could be the inspiration of stained glass windows. Overhead, the trees arch like cathedrals.
In Japanese, there is a word, komorebi, to describe the dappled light and shadow of the leaves. It is a beautiful word, perhaps untranslatable. It is a description of the interplay of light and leaves. But there is no name for that color, this light through living green.
