New Forecast Weather App

The folks who brought you the weather app  Dark Skies have just released a new weather app called Forecast. You can read more about it here.

Forecast is open-source, free to use on your iPhone, android,  tablet or laptop. You can get just the amount of weather information you want,  avoiding what they call "Weather glut" or "Weather fluff."

If you're travelling to London, Boston or  Tokyo, or you need the local forecast in Chicago or downstate Kankakee, this is easy to use and useful. The graphics are really impressive, too.

There's  a feature they call "time-machine" to access information in past weather records from all over the world.  You can also do long-range forecasts----for example, statistical probabilities of  weather 6-months from now.
As for the Dark Skies app, there will be an update in the App Store soon.

No wonder they are excited!  I am excited, too. If you are interested, try it out. What do you think?
