Chicago Tough Picks of the Week (9/18-9/19)

College: 2-4

Pro: 1-2

Yeah, Yeah, Yeah...laugh all you want.  So, what.  I'm comin back this week...I was playing possum!

Notre Dame at Michigan State (-3 1/2)

I'm going with Sparty in this game.  This is by no fault of Coach Kelly and his Irish.  If Crist doesn't get hurt last week, the Irish win easy over Michigan.  The Irish will play well again, tomorrow night...however, the Irish always have tough games in East Lansing.  I'm taking the Spartans.  Michigan State 21, Notre Dame 17

NIU at Illinois (-7)

NIU is rattled by the recent sickness of head coach Jerry Kill...this has shown to go either way in betting history.  Will they rally around, or play worried?  Illinois showed a dominant side in a solid win over a very good FCS team in Southern Illinois.  LeShoure is the real deal.  Can the Illini get Scheelhaase outside the pocket enough to utilize his speed.  I think  that the -7 is a good line if it were being set prior to the start of the season.  But, NIU, a team that was projected to win the MAC West, has been largely a disappointment over the last two weeks.  I see the Illini, now with their offensive plays being called by Bobby Petrino, to win by two touchdowns.  Illinois 28, NIU 17

Mississippi State at LSU (-7 1/2)

I know the Bulldogs are better this year.  Don't care.  LSU 26 MSU 16

New York Giants at Indianapolis (-5 1/2)

Peyton Manning at home after a loss.  Sunday night football.  Sorry...this is all Colts.  Indianapolis 31, Giants 20

Chicago (+7) at Dallas

Not sure why...I just don't think Dallas is that good.  I never bet with the Bears...haven't in years.  It usually your's an easy win for Dallas.  Bears 17, Cowboys 16

Buffalo at Green Bay (-13)

Yeah, not really hesitating on this one.  Don't be surprised if Edwards gets yards late and makes it close to the line.  But I've got the Pack winning this one 34-13
