Blackberry was once the go to phone for executives out there. Little by little smart phone companies came into the fold and began taking away customers from Blackberry or also known as RIM. They always stood by their guns and kept the QWERTY keyboard that made them famous. As people flocked to the Android phones, iPhones, and Windows phones. Blackberry was left behind and never made much of an impact when the competitors came or when they were the first smartphone on the scene.
Now they will launch their new Blackberry Z10 smartphone which is touchscreen and not the QWERTY that you or most people are accustomed in seeing from a Blackberry phone.
AT&T has started taking pre-orders for this phone starting today. The phone will officially launch on March 22. If you want to be the first to get your hands on this phone go and reserve yours right now. Pricing on the phone is at $199.99 with a 2 year contract of course.
The Z10 will be the first phone with it's completely brand new OS called Blackberry 10.
When they first introduced the Z10 they introduced another phone called the Q10 that phone will feature the physical keyboard that you are accustomed in seeing in a Blackberry phone. That phone will though come out later on this year. Stay tuned for that.
Let's talk about what will make you go out and get your own Z10. It has a 4.2 inch display, an 8 mega-pixel camera that shoots 1080p HD footage. It will be the first Blackberry with AT&T that will run the 4G LTE connection. It features separate work and personal profiles, you can multi-task without closing apps, you can video chat.
The question that they must be asking themselves is this? Will this revitalize our fan base? Will they come back to us? Only time will tell, if their sales numbers are high or low. Or is it a little late for them to get back into the smart phone game. We will see.
