We all have heard the news that there is a battle to be the top smartphone in the market. That holds to be true today. There was a report that Phil Schiller just bad mouthed Samsung and Android users. To a point he is right, he mentioned that many times Android users are usually running old OS's and that is true. Many times when you purchase a phone from Android it may have the latest OS or it may not or your phone might not be capable of handling it. You all know that is a battle that has been happening for some time. That is not why we are here today. We are here to see what the new phone holds.
I tested the Samsung Galaxy S3 myself and let me tell you firsthand that was the first time that I tried a phone and actually considered from switching my iPhone to a new phone. So I want to know what this new phone does and what it has under the hood. So let's get into the details.
The display has a 5 inch AMOLED screen 1920x1080 giving this new phone a more eye popping display that the Galaxy S3. It has a gorilla glass screen. What that means for you the average user is that if you drop it on the ground it will not crack or break. So drop the phone at will guys.
Depending upon what you are looking for the processors are speedy. It comes in either a 1.9 GHz quad core processor or a 1.6 octa-core processor. The OS will be the Jelly Bean Android 4.2.2 and it has 2 GB of RAM, it comes in 16, 32, 64 GB of phone storage but you can add additional store with a Micro SD slot and the maximum there is 64 GB.
It has Bluetooth 4.0, Wi-Fi, and GPS. The phone has an IR port that turns your phone into a remote control, so if you are an owner of a Samsung smart TV you can use your phone to control your TV.
The camera features a 13 mega-pixel back facing camera and 2 mega-pixel front facing camera. Now the cool thing about these 2 cameras is that you can use them at the same time. Samsung calls it Dual Camera. What this allows you to take video and take a picture. So let's say that you are on a video call and you want to show where you are. You don't have to switch cameras to do this anymore.
So who is going to carry this phone, you might be asking yourself? Well let me say that all wireless carriers will be carrying this phone from AT&T, Sprint, T-Mobile, Verizon, U.S. Cellular, and Cricket it will come soon. Just stay tuned for the date. It will be later this year.
