Apple goes to to school

We all have noticed as to how the iPad has taken over the lives of everyone that owns one or a business that incorporates it into their daily regimen. You also notice as to how once you own an Apple device your lives become easier or once someone says where is this place? Let me get my device out and I will look it up. And then bam you have it right in front of you. I have blogged about what Apple has been doing for some time. This comes as no surprise to me that they are doing this right now. I will be going into detail what the thing is.

Now the thing I was talking about, above. Is the new creation that they are bringing education closer to them and to you. Now owners of the iTunes store already now that they have iTunes U but now Apple has launched an iTunes U app for the iPad and other iOS devices and it is free. If you are not familiar with the iTunes U let me tell you what iTunes U offers. Now if you are looking to get back to school. A variety of universities have included into the site their classes and you can download a class and the best thing about it, is that it's free for you. You can download as many as you wish. So you don't have to spend a ton in book fees, tuition. So this comes as a welcome site for anyone that wants to save some money and take some classes for free. Now they have incorporated it into the iPad and now what the app does is that you can access info on the professor of your class if you are in a university. You can see when he is available in his office, the syllabus he provided at the start of the semester, quarter. Download lectures that you might have missed out on. Because we know that sometimes we fall asleep during some lectures. There are already over 100 courses created and they are available for on the iTunes U app.

They also have updated the iBooks app and they now want to offer textbooks for students. This will also benefits not only grammar school kids and high school kids but also college and university kids. We all know that when you are carrying a ton of books in your backpack it will sometimes hurt your back. So with this you can just carry your iPad and have all the books that you need but in one device. You can do so much with the textbooks that Apple offers, you can pinch and zoom certain pages. You can take notes on the pages. You can rotate between landscape  and portrait modes. If you take notes on the book on your iPad you can convert the notes into index cards and you can shuffle them like the real thing. The iBooks 2 app is free for download now in the app store.

This will be an interesting venture that Apple is going into. Like with everything that Apple touches it turns into gold. This will no doubt be a success. So onward and upward Apple.
